unrar the file, and take a look at the readme files would be a good start.

why not use yum ( ps fedora 9 is no longer supported and there are and never will be any updates to it ever. )

if the fedora 9 repos have not all been moved into the archives then use yum to install the old fedora 9 rpm file

yum search klm
---- i get  this in fedora 11 ---
libkml.i586 : A KML library written in C++ with bindings to other languagues
libkml-devel.i586 : Development files for libkml
so install this

su -
yum install libkml libkml-devel
