Installing YaBB (Yet Another Bulletin Board)

Wow. I am totally perplexed. I'm trying to install YaBB, but my best guess is that I have an incomplete package. I didn't want to have to get another account at yabbforum.com, so I'm hoping my fellow Linux buds here would know what the dealio is.

First of all, I've installed NUMEROUS web apps, both on SuSE linux systems and FreeBSD. From perl apps to LAMP apps to python/zope-based Plone and everything in between. I guess I'm just trying to say, I'm not a complete idiot before I start.

I've downloaded both the .zip and .tar.gz files from the official download site AND both of them from sourceforge. I don't get it. There's no .html, .pl, .cgi or anything that does anything in the package. There's no README or INSTALL files. In the root folder I have six subfolders (Attachments, ModImages, Templates, Buttons, Smilies and avatars) and five javascript files. The subfolders only have images, text files and more subfolders. What gives? Did someone royally screw up or what?

I've looked at just about everything at the yabbforum.com and poked around their support forum which suggests I should have some perl files. Where are they?

I could easily install this on my FreeBSD system via the ports collection, but if this BB software is good, I want to also install it on my personal website hosted by iPower.

Weird.

Argh. Sorry!

Okay, I figured it out. Most of the time (likely 99%) while unraveling a tarball, I get a single folder with everything needed inside. The tarball for YaBB unraveled more than one folder and I just didn't notice them. What an extraordinary retard I was on this one. Man, I'm glad it's Friday!
