Installing .rpms

I am new to this and have a simple question...

How do I install a .rpm I have downloaded from the web.

I have downloaded Acrobat Reader for a test install. It is currently sitting in my home directory. If I click on it to install it seems to run through an installation process but there I don't seems to have Acrobat at the end of it.

I am using Mandriva 10.2.

Cheers,

Rob
