Question Installing Iperf >>cannot find -lstdc++!!!!

Hi,
I can't get iperf installed, it gives me this error
while doing "make"

UDP.o Server.o Settings.o main.o -L../lib -ldast
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lstdc++
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [../iperf] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/iperf-1.6.4/src'
make: *** [iperf] Error 2
[root@linux iperf-1.6.4]#

I have got these packages already installed

[root@linux src]# ls lib*
libg++-2.8.1-2.i386.rpm libg++-libc5-devel-2.7.2.8-1.i386.rpm
libg++-devel-2.8.1-2.i386.rpm libstdc++-compat-2.95-2.i386.rpm
libg++-libc5-2.7.2.8-1.i386.rpm libstdc++-devel-2.96-81.i386.rpm
[root@linux src]#

and for g++,

[root@linux src]# ls g*
g++2.95-2.95.3-36cl.i386.rpm gcc2.95-2.95.3-36cl.i386.rpm
g++-2.95.3-36cl.i386.rpm gcc-libc5-2.7.2.3-1.i386.rpm
[root@linux src]#

This is what my ld.so.conf shows

[root@linux src]# cat /etc/ld.so.conf
/usr/lib
/usr/kerberos/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/local/lib
/lib
/usr/lib/gcc-lib
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-conectiva-linux/2.95.3
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96
[root@linux src]#

Some of the entries I have added. Don't know why it is
giving -lstdc++ error!!!!!!!

regards
Krishna

Try a
"locate libstdc"
or
"find / -iname "libstdc*"

Then add -L/path/to/libstc++ to the compiler-call

Cheers,
Tink
