Installing From a tarball in Fedora Linux


I have this program I got the tar file for the other day qsstv.. I used 'tar -zxzf qsstv-5.2d.tar.gz' now I have a folder in my Home Directory called qsstv-5-2d.. I know this sounds stupid, but I am not sure what to do next and I was hoping there was someone on here that could help me...

There will be a file called README or INSTALL in qsstv-5-2d which will give you instructions on how to install the package. In most cases the instructions are to become root, cd to qsstv-5-2d and then issue these commands:

./configure
make
make install
