installing by KPackage


i tray to install programs using KPackage and it works some times then when i tray to install or unstall any thing i have this error:

I've never used KPackage but it seems like the process that is needed by KPackage is being used by kplayer (a media player for KDE) and in turn, is giving the broken pipe error.

kplayer is not running.
and if its running in background how can i stop it or stop the sevice

Yes, you can. Just type in
Code:
kill PID
*PID is the Processor Identification. Every program that starts, doesn't run with a name but with a PID.

Well, go to shell and type in: PID or pid, don't remember. It will give you name of the program and the ID. Once you find kplayer, look at its PID and type in shell kill PIDofkplayer.
