Installing b43 drivers in Backtack 3
I hope this counts as a software question. . .
Anyways, apparantly I'm an idiot, but I can't seem to get the b43 drivers installed on backtrack. For those of you who don't know, backtrack is a linux live CD.
I need to install the b43 drivers to get my card to work. Backtrack 3 comes with the bcm43xx drivers, and a patch file for the b43 drivers, but no kernel source. I don't know how to apply a patch file without kernel source, but if anyone has any ideas, that would be fantastic. I've pulled so much hair out at this point that I'm pretty much going bald.
I'd prefer not to have to download and compile a kernel, though if that's what I have to do, then well, that's what I have to do.
If there's some sort of way I could simply download the binary of the b43 module alone without getting everything, that would be awesome, but I think that the b43 module itself needs to be patched, so I don't know if that's feasible.
Thanks in advance, I'm sure to some of you this seems like a stupid and obvious question.
