Install grub2 in partition is possible?

I tried to install grub2 in partition, not in MBR.
I have installed grub4dos in MBR, and I prefer to install grub2 in sda6.
sda6 is ext3 formated and has Debian squeeze installed on it.

I tried to install grub2 in sda6 and I had this error:

Code:
ubuntu@ubuntu:/mnt$ sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sda6

Just try installing it again with --force and it will work.
