install after or before gcc,binutils,make,module-init when migrating kernel 2.6


hi do i have to install first this files before i migrate to kernel 2.6 or after i migrate

Gnu C Compiler
Gnu Make
binutils
util-linux
module-init-tools
procps
e2fsprogs
jfsutils
reiserfsprogs
xfsprogs
nfs-utils
pcmcia-cs
quota-tools
PPP
isdn4k-utils
oprofile

the only important package in all this is "module-init-tools", as every other haven't changed with the new kernel... if you already have all this stuff, you don't need to reinstall, thought upgrading could be a good idea.

"module-init-tools" can be installed before or after, it doesn't matter much as it is backward compatible with 2.4 kernel.
