In Fedora 24 YUM, how do I install the latest Flash Player?
Hi, I am using Fedora 24 and want to install the latest flash player, It seems for now only terminal commands work, I tried yum install flashplayer, for, I could not open a certain video lecture. But the terminal replied:
[root@localhost BM]# yum install flashplayer
Yum command has been deprecated, redirecting to '/usr/bin/dnf install flashplayer'.
See 'man dnf' and 'man yum2dnf' for more information.
To transfer transaction metadata from yum to DNF, run:
'dnf install python-dnf-plugins-extras-migrate && dnf-2 migrate'
Last metadata expiration check: 2:42:19 ago on Mon Aug 29 12:05:44 2016.
No package flashplayer available.
Error: Unable to find a match.
1. Like it says, in Fedora 24, use DNF, yum is depracated.
2. You'd have to add a copr repository for the npapi flash or freshplugin with the pepperflash. Neither is supported. I personally (because I do need flash sadly) installed the full Chrome browser from google in order to have an updated pepperflash, then installed freshplugin from the rpmfusion repository, and linked to the chrome plugin in order to have the most up to date flash available in firefox and chromium (which was installed through a copr)

How can I install the latest flashplayer?
You can find a useful app for installing Flash etc at http://easylifeproject.org/ . I have used it to install Flash and several other apps.
Once I had flash player installed dnf updates frequently. I had to install various dnf programs. A have a box that says dnf I run updates daily.
It used to be yumex which I used but now unavailable.
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ It will pick up linux 32 or 64 bit Pick out version you want. After rpm file is installed dnf will automatically update.
