Hi all,
Basically managed to get everything going on my mailserver in my transition to virtual mail hosting; so exciting!! bar one feature - Dovecot seems to have problems finding the maildir of the user after login process.
I'm running Debian, Postfix, Dovecot with a couple of odd bits (roundcube and spamassasin etc)
Code:
debsrv:/etc/dovecot# tail -n1 /var/log/mail.err
Mar 22 20:27:02 localhost imap(ronald@rmacd.com): stat() failed with file /home/vmail/rmacd.com/ronald/new/new: No such file or directory
The problem is that the path should read /home/vmail/rmacd.com/ronald/new instead of /home/vmail/rmacd.com/ronald/new/new
essentially, I'm completely stumped, because I don't know which part of the process of logging in the user is assigning the wrong directory. It's nearly there, bar this annoying little error!
the essential line, default_mail_env, reads as follows:
default_mail_env = maildir:/home/vmail/%d/%n
any ideas where any other files may be located that are affecting this rewrite of the path?
regards.
