image/text bound property

I am working on a GUI application, and one data structure has a variable called bound:
typedef struct MyStruct
{
...
bool bound; // image/text bound state
...
} my_struct_type_t

This structure support bitmap and text of a button, I am not exactly sure what bound state mean here, can anyone help on that?

Is that C code? There is no bool data type in C, so it's probably typedef'd somewhere else. You probably need to ask the person who wrote the code to explain what the value means, there's really no way for anyone to know based on the information you've provided. I mean I could guess and say that 1 means image and 0 means text, but that's just a wild guess.

Thanks for the comments. This is c++ source code. I just found out the bool value decides the alighment of text and image.
