Ideal postfix setup for 800 users

Hi All,

I have a net work with Samba/LDAP as a PDC and an exchange 5.5 server that I wish to replace with Postfix.

I have 800 users, 300 of which can be concurrently connected. I'm looking at Postfix, Cyrus Imap, Amavis, Spamassassin and clamav but need advice with regard to downloading the mail from the mail relay at our ISPs.

Previously, I've used fetchmail with a polling interval of 3 minutes on networks with up to 30 users and it's coped fine. What mechanism would be the easiest to configure for 800 accounts as the fetchmail people don't seem to recommend their program for high volumes.

Cheers,

Jools
