Question i need a simple file manager


hi!
i need a simple (short & sweet) file manager for my project.... preferebly written in C. anybody knows where i can get it?

mc, the Midnight Commander is a non-graphical file manager that brings back memories of Norton Commander for DOS. Excellent functionality.

If you want a graphical one I suggest Gentoo the file manager (not the distribution).

FileRunner it's older than dirt but you can do a lot with few resources. Fast and simple. Midnight Commander is good for the CLI and mcedit's easy on newbies.

For X, I use emelfm which looks and acts sorta like Midnight Commander

I sometimes like to use xfm or gentoo.

There's another in Webmin.
