Question I can configure smtp submission in dovecot but no authentication?

I tried to enable anonymous authentication but it still fails:

dovecot: submission-login: Disconnected: Connection closed (no auth attempts in 0 secs)

This is a feature of MOST email servers. If the client does not authenticate (login) the server will not authorize either reading or sending email. For security reasons and to prevent email spamming the client has to be authenticated.
