Exclamation I can't start yast2!

Hey all, i am just having problems with starting yast2.
I am using a ymp meta package (one clik install thingy)
and when i start it, it says
"An error occurred while initializing the software repository.
Details:
Packman repository: Valid meta data not found at the specified URL(s).
History:
- System management is locked by the application with pid 3188. Please close teis application before trying again.
Try again?
<<yes>> <<no>>
"
So i went to system monitor, and organized the processes by pid(that means process id right?) and looked at it several times. No pid 3188.
I have tried rebooting, closing all programs, but nothing works. It was working a few days ago.
Also, i was trying to install a gnome theme viewer, and it said i need a c compiler. At least thats what i think it means XD.
Anyway, here is the console out put when i configure it from terminal.
jc@linux-qx0b:~/Desktop/Gwf> configure
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... no
checking for working aclocal... missing
checking for working autoconf... missing
checking for working automake... missing
checking for working autoheader... missing
checking for working makeinfo... missing
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH
jc@linux-qx0b:~/Desktop/Gwf>

What do i do?

Make sure yast2 really isn't running, then do rm /tmp/yast*

yes, you need a C compiler. And a C++ compiler and make.
