I accidently deleted 'ldconfig'. Now i can not install any program. i can not update my system even through apt.
I am using debian etch.

What can i do? Is there any way to compile from source.. which package does it belong to?

Remarkable ... you bumped your post in 14 minutes. Now this thread is out of zero-reply list and gets less exposure as a result.

Hint: Extract the file you deleted from relevant deb package.
Another hint: has search feature.

thanks emerson for the reply. I solved the problem. I actually copied ldconfig from another distro which i had in liveUSB- fedora. Works perfect...
