I'm stuck at a command prompt

I have two hard drives on my computer; linux (fedora 2) and windows XP. I had to re-install and reformat my XP, and now I've lost my linux partition when I boot up. I installed the Fedora CD and at boot I type in
Linux Rescue <Enter>
It then comes up....'Running Annaconda.....rescue mode' . Next.....
Mounting under /mnt/sysimage <Enter> to continue.....
The message comes up now:
'Your system has been mounted under /mnt/sysimage. If you would like to make this your system root chroot/mnt/sysimage, press continue'
<OK>
The message now is:
'Your system is mounted under the /mnt/sysimage directory. When finished, exit shell and reboot.'
sh-2.05b# _ (a blinking cursor here)
I type in the command prompt......
sh-2.05b# chroot <Enter>
The response after enter is:
Usage: chroot NEWROOT [COMMAND....]
And here is where I'm stuck. No matter what I put in, I can't seem to get any further. I must admit, with considerable embarrasement, that I once started banging on the keyboard and mouse, and something happened, so that I DID reboot to the OS menu for Linux or XP. But I havn't been able to repeat whatever I did. Can someone help me out......
Thanks.......
