https problem with CentOS

Hi,
I am running CentOS linux distrib and having a apache server. I created SSL keys and put them at the appropiate place in the ssl.conf file. I also changed the configuration in ssl.conf to Listen 443 and my router is port forwarding this request to my PC.
The problem is that when I do https://ipaddress, I am getting Error 404, while http://ipaddress is working fine. Browser does ask for certificate autorization and this makes me feel that my seerve is accessed by the browser but why I am getting Error 404...How can I check the https on my lan....
I ran netstat -tna and got something like this tcp :::0 443 listen and not 0.0.0.0:443 does it make any difference....
I started the server as /etc/init.d/httpd/ start....
Please help
Thanks
