http/ftp file transfer portal for webside of intranet

Hi all,

I am currently having to run an ftp site on my apache/debian server to support customer file uploads and downloads (patches, documentation etc) in a very basic way since our IT can't do anything outside current spec without a massive project being created and destroyed in a bundle of red tape They also will want to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on commercial software and support and so on...

What I need to do is provide some kind of http interface to an ftp service that is relatively secure, has different levels of security for browsing file sizes and types, an invitation/autoURL email-login thingo and also a feature like file expiry over a time period that can be set.

Essentially what nuketransfer (commercial has to offer)
http://nukeflow.com/PortalFileTransf...2/Default.aspx

Anyone know of a portal system or content management package that would look promising?

TIA

Will

i think there's none such. there may be some commercial ones. just google. the best way is asking your company's developer to make one!

Yeah, I wish

I may have to dive into Mambo or Joomla or something and see how much I can do...
