HQ(hd?) SIP video client

Hi,
I am looking for a way to make HQ sip videocalls preferably trough a lightweight box with webcam with and integrated microphone on a tv(hdmi).
preferably I would like to make my own interface so I can make it easy to use for older people. Does anyone have an idea where to start off and what client would be good to use?

also the hardware I'm going to use isn't clear.

so basically: what simple sip client can do hd video calls?

Refer the following and find out which client is better for you. Now a days h264 is the most popular low bitrate high quality codec for video calls(basically the video or audio quality based on the codec thats why i mention about h264)...

What bandwidth do you have ? (this is probably the most important question) (up and down).

I recommend qutecom (listed above in that list), you can select the resolution settings in the config menu. However, if you don't have very good bandwidth, you will not get high quality calls.

I've tried qutecom but the quality is really low even with the highest settings. the bandwith is 100 mbit up and 100 down so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm aiming for like 1280x720 video and a sound quality that can keep up with it.
