So I already had the proper drivers downloaded, the printer was printing in color, UNTIL

I deleted old no longer used printers on my computer. Some how related?

Help!!

Please provide more information. Such as

What distro/version are you using?

How is the printer connected to the computer?

What printer driver are you using?

What happens when you try to print in color? Does anything print, say in grayscale? Does the printer even activate?

Try starting a program from the command line and printing something in color. Perhaps some useful messages will be thrown from the command line.

In order for anyone to really help you, more information would be needed.

You have not described which printers (makes even) were "deleted", and how they were "deleted". I.e.: were they removed from CUPS or unplugged.. or drivers uninstalled.. or all of the above (or none?)?

What Linux/GNU distribution is being used on the system?

Have you checked the color cartridge?

The answer to all of these would help..
