How to view gps coordinates from image metadata?

How to view gps coordinates from image metadata?

I can view gps coordinated and map position with http://exifdata.com/exif.php
but the site is currently down and it is slow.

I am playing around with gwenview but i am kinda also looking for informations like:

GPS DATA EXITS: YES/NO

not only coordinates themself.

I wouldn't mind havin map position as well.

What is your expiriance with gps metadata contained within jpg files..

You probably already have the "identify" command installed on your computer. If not, run "sudo apt-get install imagemagick" (assuming an apt-based distro).

Then run:

identify -verbose filename.jpg
