Maybe this is what you looking for:

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Color_Bash_Prompt

Colors can be set either in /etc/profile ( systemwide) or in the users .bashrc.

Well it should be explained on the website

thanks 4 answering vbisis
what I'm looking for .. is not the colorized prompt nor listing, but the whole font, the "foreground color".. as when we set the font-color on xterm with the mod `-fg green`. (hope to be clear)

any idea is welcome.

regards
