Question How to make work 32bit app in 64bit install.img?

Hello
During installation of x86_64 RHEL I need to launch 32-bit utility to configure a disk array. So, I patched install.img in my RHEL: unpack install.img file, copy content of glibc.i686.rpm and libstdc++-4.4.6-3.el6.i686.rpm to it, pack it again, copy packed file back to installation DVD.
So, when I try to run the utility, I got an error:
/lib/ld-linux.so.2: bad ELF interpreter: No such file or directory

Is any way to launch my 32 bit utility in x86_64 install.img?

Be careful here. run ls / /usr
Linux came out on a '386 or more (all 32 bit)

With the move to 64 bit people did different things
Many use /usr/lib for 32bit & /usr/lib64 for 64 bit libs
Debian, most children of it, and perhaps others use /usr/lib for 64 bit and /usr/lib32 for 32 bit.

If you install 32 bit packages on a 64 bit box, they may work; they may find the wrong libs and puke; they may not find the wrong libs and puke; You may find that you have overwritten your 64 bit executables so everything pukes.

What you really need are 32 bit compatibility packages, for Red Hat. I promoted myself to slackware, and that has them. I don't know about RH.
