how to make patch file

Hello there,

I have a source code download from internet and I made it correct for building on my system. Now I like making a patch file from the original and modified codes but I am not sure how to make it correctly. I tried googling but it's so complicated.

Can you help, please.

I use unified diffs like this:
Code:
diff -uNr tcp_wrappers_7.6-orig tcp_wrappers_7.6 > ../my-patch.diff
It generates a nice, readable patch file that should work without too much hassle as it allows for a bit of fuzz.
