How to install thunderbird 1.0 on Redhat 8.0?

Hi,

I want to install Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0 on Redhat 8.0. I downloaded it and saved it on the computer. I unpacked it but I couldn't run it.

When I ran the Thunderbird in the command line:
thunderbird

then hit "enter", the error message came up like:
bash: thunderbird: commmand not found

Could someone give me a step by step instruction? Because I am new to linux.

Wgere dd you install thunderbird (what directory)? Most likely, it's not in your PATH (do a search on PATH in these forums -- lots of posts). In any case, try running it by specifying the full path to the thunderbitd binary and them modify your PATH so you don't have to do that when you want to run it (or alias thunderbird to the full path in your shell).
