How to install SmallBASIC-Unix-Bin-0.8.0.tar.bz2

I am new to Linux & have never installed new softrware.

I am running MAndrake 10 on an IBM A22m Laptop

I have downloaded "SmallBASIC-Unix-Bin-0.8.0.tar.bz2"

Now I need to install it.

What do I do?

Extract the archive that you downloaded. Look at the README and INSTALL files (if they're there), this should tell you how to set it up. If not, open a terminal, go to where you extracted the files and type:
Quote:
./configure
make
make install
