How To Install Mplayer In Suse 10.1


when i down;loaded the mplayer
and i typyed

rpm -i < file name>

it said

error: Failed dependencies:

libcaca.so.0 is needed by MPlayer-1.0rc1-1.pm.1.i586

libcucul.so.0 is needed by MPlayer-1.0rc1-1.pm.1.i586

libfaac.so.0 is needed by MPlayer-1.0rc1-1.pm.1.i586

libmp3lame.so.0 is needed by MPlayer-1.0rc1-1.pm.1.i586

libtwolame.so.0 is needed by MPlayer-1.0rc1-1.pm.1.i586

libx264.so.54 is needed by MPlayer-1.0rc1-1.pm.1.i586

libxvidcore.so.4 is needed by MPlayer-1.0rc1-1.pm.1.i586


what do i do now, i m desperate to install any good software to watc moveis here,,,



and tell me how to proceed with tar. gz files,

i dont know how to install .sh files

tell me fast ppl



my pc architre is i686

If you will go to (Forums - Distribution - Suse/Novell) and look at the top of the first couple of articles it will answer your question.

http://packman.links2linux.org

get all the packages u neede for ur suse version.
download all the packages it askes.
install w32codecs,libdvdcss2,faad,faac,x264,xvidcore,lame,...etc.


tar.gz is a zipped file
to extract in
in aonsole type as
$tar xvzf <filename>.tar.gz

you can find the extracted file in the working folder.

to run install.sh,
just type
./install.sh
