Hello!

I'm fairly new to Linux...so maybe my answer seems obvious/stupid to many/most. Nonetheless, here is my question:

I'm running Vector Linux 4.3 and Fluxbox. I have downloaded a few DockApps which I quite like. I am using a Thinkpad 240 which is a small sub notebook...it has a pretty small screen...so...Having dockapps decreases the ammount of screen space I have...Is there any way to get windows on top of the dockapps? A fluxbox setting perhaps?

I have searched and googled and come up with nothing...so I'd appreciate any advice/suggestions/solutions...

You should be able to change Slit behavior in the Fluxbox Options Menu. Take a look at the manual.
You can also change the settings in your .fluxbox/init file. You can try setting session.screen0.toolbar.onTop to false, or session.screen0.slit.autoHide to true. The first one will let you have windows over the slit, the other one will only show it if you move the Mouse to the edge of the screen where the dockapps are.
