How to configure Thunderbird mail to display sender and subject on 2 separate lines in header summaries?

Hello everyone,

Could anyone tell me how to configure Thunderbird mail to display the mailbox header summary column to use two lines per message? I'm trying to configure it to look like the screen grab I've attached which shows Apple Mail.

At the very least, I am trying to configure it such that the sender and subject are on two different lines. In Thunderbird the date is a separate column so that is not my problem.

Thanks in advance,

I'm afraid you can't at the moment.
There is an open bug report for this feature. See this and this for more details

Thank you. I'll add to the conversation on those bug reports you referenced.

After reading many of the comments on those bug reports I understand why the Linux ecosystem, especially the desktop, is "advancing" so slowly... more slowly than the old DCE or Motif environments did in the 90s....
