how to compile mod_ssl as an module

Hi, List:
I'm using httpd-2.2.6 on a x86 RHEL AS4 server, I need to build mod_ssl as a DSO, when I run:
bin/apxs -c -i -a SOURCE/httpd-2.2.6/modules/ssl/mod_ssl.c -I SOURCE/httpd-2.2.6/modules/ssl/
there always output too many errors, what can I do please? is there any direction?
