Hi fellows.

Recently a client of mine ask me of the possibility of capturing the audio from his computer and them using the captured audio for later playback, this came after a talking about a remote "babysister". Well so we talk that may have some software ready for this task or that maybe is possible to capture the audio direct from a device, and now I'm started to be very curious about this, so I came here trying to get some help of more experienced people about this.

So the questions are simple, how can an audio be captured direct from a device for later playback and if this isn't possible without further codec treatment what software could I use to accomplish that.
