How to add manual (x)inetd entries

Hi,
I'm using Debian stable on my router/fileserver/sometimes webserver.
Currently only proftpd and tftp are started through inetd.
I would like to add some services manually to inetd.conf like ssh and webserver. My current webserver is boa, but something like thttpd would also be fine. I don't want Apache because it's way too big and has too many functions i will never use.

I've already tried in several ways to get boa started through inetd but with no success. I've also tried xinetd because it seems like a real good replacement for inetd. But using xinetd i still didn't get it to work.

For example, this is the line i used with boa for inetd.conf:
http stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/sbin/boa -c /etc/boa/boa.conf

Has anyone here had success with manually adding services to (x)inetd?
btw: proftpd and tftp work via inetd because Debian added them there during installation.
