well, you can try editing /etc/hostname
then you might have to change entries in /etc/hosts as well.

Hello jader!

In the file /etc/sysconfig/network, just set the variable HOSTNAME to the desired name.

for eg...

HOSTNAME=jader

You want to grep the /etc/ directory to make sure that you get every file that contains it.
