How can I add a signature [image] to a .pdf document


Hello,
How can I add a signature [image] to a .pdf document ?
I use opensuse Linux.

What software rpms/apps[1] is used to do this and what steps are used to apply-signature to pdf ?

No actual experience using xournal which should be available in OpenSuSE repositories.

I'd use pdftk. Create the background image (not to dark!) as a pdf file and then the command is
pdftk old.pdf background background.pdf output new.pdf

I've used xournal to edit pdf files. Had to print to a pdf to have my modifications stick.

I use gimp for that. You can also make the signature image in gimp.
