High Performance Clustering packages
1. Do you know of any distro with built-in HPC capabilities? Or a suitable package to install on a vanilla distro such as ubuntu, fedora, opensuse, etc. ?
I want a HPC package that make all nodes behave as one. I did it ages ago with Mosix but that was for the 2.4 kernel and the project is now over.
2. Does anybody know if the CentOS distro comes with the HPC suite from redhat? The documentation for v5.2/5.3 mentions fail-over, load-balancing, but not HPC.
3. Has anybody tried the Sun HPC Clustering package, Linux ed. v1.2? the problem I see with that one is that uses the beowulf model (one master, the other are just nodes)
Would I be able to have any distro to use all the nodes equally with a little tweaking of the sun HPC suite??
I'm open to any other suggestions. Thanks in advance.
