Help with Samba share

Ok, here is what I need.....

I created a share /home/data/groupshares . I need every folder and file under this share, whether new or existing to have root.users ownership. I need the owner as well as the group to have full read/write/delete/execute permissions. No one else should have any permissions. I want the permissions to stay the same even when users edit a file or document.

One more thing...I am not sure what is up with samba on fedora 10, but whenever i try to use the force user setting, windows users can no longer access the share.

Can someone please tell me how to do this?

P.S. I am on fedora 10

What I would do is create a new group add the user or users to it you want to access the share
then do a chgrp to the correct group on the directory.

In samba then use the

create mask = 0xxx
directory mask = 0xxx

for the correct shares

where xxx would be the permissions you want to give the directory and its contents.

I would not use the force user setting. If you really want to get strict you could use
valid users = xxx, xxx, xxx where xxx is the users you want to grant access to the samba shares

Just a side note you have to have a leading 0 to make it work.
