Question Help with Mandrake 9.1 and GNOrpm

I recently installed Linux and had no idea on how to install RPM's then when i was cleaning out my basement I found my brother old copy of Red Hat Linux 7 Fast and Easy I looked thru it most of the stuff in there was usless although it did tell me how to install RPM's, using GNOrpm sadly I cant find this program on my HD . Is there any other way? or is it there and I just cant find it?

Thanx

(Oh, well if Mandrake doesnt turn out I'll try Red Hat 9)

As root, try this command and see what happens:

urpmi gnorpm

# Mandrake links
Mandrake home page
Mandrake Users website
Easy urpmi config for Mandrake
urpmi mini-HOWTO
Easy software management: Red Carpet
Maximum RPM
rpmfind
You didn't install the developmental packages? As root, command:
urpmi gcc
Install Midnight Commander by commanding:
urpmi mc

The Mandrake Users website has a documentation page that covers Mandrake's emergengy recovery proceedure. Have you checked there as I suggested?
