Help resizing partition

I'm trying to resize an NTFS partition on an IBM MT7977 Server. It has a Adaptec® AIC-9580W RAID controller.

I was thinking about doing it with a gparted LiveCD/LiveUSB, but then I realised that they won't have drivers for the RAID controller. A quick google for "9580W Linux" doesn't return anything promising.

Anyone done anything like this before? Any insight appreciated.

Did you actually boot from the gparted cd and it couldn't see the drive ?

I haven't tried booting that particular system yet (it's a production server). I tried booting another system which has a HighPoint 2320 PCI-e raid card, and I couldn't see the drives in that, so I'm assuming it won't show up in the production server either.

The Adaptec is more likely to be supported but no guarantees..
