Help on VIM citations bibtex plugins.

Hello everyone.
I don't want to ask a technical question, but rather to be pointed out to resources.
And ask about your experience using VIM plugins related to papers citations.

With many trials and errors I have eventually installed two different versions of the same plugin using the bibtex format.
They are used to make citations and quotes in scientific papers.
https://github.com/msprev/unite-bibtex
https://github.com/msprev/fzf-bibtex

I have problems understanding exactly how do they work.
Would anyone have a good, simple tutorial to recommend to me?
The tool looks great, but I am very confused about the readme.md

Those are not two versions of the same plugin: they're two completely independent plugins albeit by the same author.

As to unite-bibtex. Pay attention to this requirement:
Quote:
vim built with Python 2
For example, it won't work with this Vim:
Code:
$ vim --version|grep '[-+]python'
+cmdline_hist +langmap -python +visual
+cmdline_info +libcall +python3 +visualextra
As to fzf-bibtex. This is a standalone command-line tool that integrates with Vim via the fzf.vim plugin.

Does it work from the command line?

Thank you, I should have been more concise and specific as one of them is outdated anyway.

Therefore: I am using only fzf-bibtex.

Would anyone have an easy tutorial, easy documentation, or a personal experience to share about it?

As it says at the bottom of that link:
Quote:
unite-bibtex -- no longer maintained; this replaces it.
I have no experience with fzf-bibtex, but I have had experience with bibtex. It can be problematic getting citation references properly formatted. Output of bibtex citations from journals vary in quality and often need to be hand edited. The handling of special characters and foreign language characters can also cause issues. I have found JabRef to be a useful tool.
