Exclamation HELP ME GET MY d BACK


hello again people of the internet!

Ok i just came across my biggest problem yet in linux and it has made me very purplexed....

in the terminal i cant use a lowercase [d]

no seriously i cant!,

not as root or as my other "screen names"

i try to type a command like < updatedb& > and it reads < upateb& >

i try ddddddddddddd
and the "curser" shows that it is busy but no d's

BUT i can do DDDDDDDD
and i get DDDDDDDD

NOTE: this problem is only in the terminal i can use my [d] any other time in any other place

weird huh, can ANYBODY help me get my lowercase [d] back?

Seems like a problem with your keyboard mapping.
Unfortunately that isn't my best area of expertise.
