Help Installing Video Card Driver's on SuSE 9.1 Personal

Hi I would like to get some help installing the video card drivers on my SuSE 9.1 Personal. I know that I need to install the Nvidia Drivers and I am just unsure on how to do this. I know that I have read that I might have to mess with the X Server and I am a bit weary about getting into all of that. What I am looking for is to get the 3d acceleration up in order to do some gaming on my Linux box. If anyone can offer some assistance that would be greatly appreciated.

When Grub comes up, select "safe mode". That will take you to command line instead of going to KDE or whatever DE you're running. From command line, follow the instructions from the NVIDIA website to install the drivers. Basically, you'll do change directory to where you downloaded, then SU, then sh nvidia-1234.pkg.run or whatever the filename is. Follow the instructions, it should walk through it fairly well. Once you're done with the install, "startx" will start you xserver back up.
