Why wont Best Linux Install On My Machine - :smash: I Get Cd-Rom Warnings About Some Module Or Something :smash: And Dobnt Get no Further. If Any1 could Help , Id Be Most Obliged , As Im Using Annoying Win Xp Pro , And Have Been Dreaming Of Linux For A While Now. .:smash:

Speaking Of Which,, Which Linux Distrubution Is The Most User Friendly For Newbs ??? Any ADvice Would Be Greatly Accepted

Mandrake is what everyone tells new people to use.

Try Mandrake or RedHat, I think these will be much easier to install for you.

ah ....mandrake..i downloaded the iso before and my download manager pieced the download together wrongly..ill download it with gozilla.....coz im on dial up.....

so mandrake 8.2 i will have to download?

I think it will be the best solution. Remember that you need only one cd. 2 others are not neccessary, but there is interesting software on them.

well i think mandrake looks good..ive been reading up on it and it sure sounds good aswell....

seen as their is so many support people around here...is there anything ill need b4 i go and install mandrake 8.2?

1: any special way to burn the iso?
2: what software is on the other 2 cds?
3: is the instalation as simple as boot from cd and it works..? i had trouble with best linux not finding my cd rom drive
4: will mandrake find my cd rom drive and everything will work?


if you are able to help me but need my system setup then post and ask for it...
