What configuration do you have in your grub.conf?

The file you actully need to change is the menu.1st

It should look something like this:

--->< menu.lst ><------------

color white/blue black/light-gray
default 0
timeout 8

title suse
root (hd0,1)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.5-1.358 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet
initrd /initrd-2.6.5-1.358.img

title windows 2000
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

title floppy
root (fd0)
chainloader +1

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

# (hd0,0) refers to were your windows partition is i.e the first hard drive in the first partition.
# rootnoverify is similar to root but it does not attempt to mount the partition

You can also check out this how-to: http://www.geocities.com/epark/linux...w2k-HOWTO.html
