Greatest Oracle 10g book/tutorial

Hello,everyone.

I would like to learn Oracle 10g in this summer in order to broaden my horizon on Database Management.Do you guys have any good book or tutorial which is suitable for me?

As a maniac of Linux,I like LAMP to death. However,I would like to learn JSP and Oracle this summer because they are quite important to my job. So,do you guys have any good book/tutorial which will mention about how to manage Oracle 10g and connect with other programming language like Java,JSP and even PHP?

Your advice would be appreciated.

P.S. It's quite daunting that Oracle can't be installed on Slackware...

I have Oracle 10g running on Slackware. Have a look at http://www.puschitz.com/InstallingOracle10g.shtml, but be prepared to improvise since the Redhat stuff is obviously different.

I posted some of the steps I went through here at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...91#post2071791, hope it's useful to you...

As far as Oracle info goes, the Oracle web site has plenty of stuff, but I ended up buying a book from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/007...Fencoding=UTF8). It's good, but it wasn't cheap.

Thanks a lot,gilead.

But one thing. Is the book which you recommend to me mentioned about how to connect Oracle with JSP,PHP or ASP.NET?

Thanks again.

That book is purely for Oracle, for JDBC stuff there's Java Programming with Oracle Jdbc. I also have Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages and More Servlets and JavaServer Pages which were useful. For me, Core Servlets was more useful than More Servlets because my apps weren't complicated enough to need it.

Haha,I have been reading the first book,"Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages. This is a good book,no doubt. But I just think that some of the chapters is tedious because I've already known something about cookie ,session and stuff. However, general speaking, this book is easy to understand and learn from.

Thanks for your tips.
