Good RISK game from Parker for LINUX ?


Anyone knows what could be the best RISK game from Parker for LINUX ?

I've played jRisk and TEG. Both are okay. You can also try xfrisk and/or ksirk.

The question you ask could only be answered with a version from Parker, and I don't know that they ever released a Linux version. One of the early DOS (etc) versions may run inder wine.

Having said that, if you are happy with an unofficial version,JRisk does work*. I do have to warn you that the strategy for whuppin' a 'bot player is rather different from what you'd use against a human player, but, once you've learned that you'll trounce the bots every time...so, if you want an interesting game, one that presents a challenge after the first few games, you will need at least one human opponent.

(others than jRisk may be better or worse...have fun finding out!)

* according to that wikipedia page, there is trademark limitation over the name Risk combined with the font, but not other IP limitation, so that unofficial versions are not illegal. Which is comforting.
