Unhappy gnuplot cant detect terminal

Hi, I just installed Mandrake 10.1 to use as programming platform. With that I am using gfortran and also gnuplot for my work. I have installed gnuplot using ./configure and make install script provided. However when I started gnuplot, it wont detect any terminal for display eg X11. gnuplot would run as normal, just that it wont display any results on screen. Have I done any mistake in installing it?? Or I should do post-installation configuration? Anyway ..I am a newbie here ... so if there is any help .. could you show step by step to solve this??

Thanks in advance

Maybe you haven't noticed some errors during installation in particular when you made make before make install.

Don't worry it happens !!!!!

Good luck
