Gnomemeeting Does Not Detect Video Device

None of the options for the video device works. Is there any way to find out where my video card is? the options are /dev/vide0 and dev/video1. Is there a way to manually change where the program is looking for it?

I should also add I am just trying to get it so i can just recieve video because i do not have a webcam. Maybe the /dev/video* is looking for my webcam? I dont know...

maybe look through the /var/log/dmesg file and see what it was picked up as?
cat /var/log/dmesg | less
as root.
