I am installing Gentoo 1.4rc1, very nicely so far.
Now I got X working with Gnome2 and Sawfish, off course I'd like to customize my desktop with a nice theme and a background picture, but the gnome control center refuses to install these. When I select a pictute for the background, it just doesn't change, although I can change the colour and gradient... And when I try to install a new theme it gives a seg fault.
So how can I solve this? Reinstall the gnome control center?
